Hi, I’m Jonny Andrew Miller, the cook, taster, and slightly messy mind behind Bite & Boom.

I live in Austin, Texas, a city that smells like barbecue smoke, fresh tortillas, and late-night tacos if you wander long enough. It suits me. I’ve never been great at rushing through life, but I’m excellent at slowing down for food that hits hard and lingers longer than expected.

I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a food blogger. What I did grow up with was curiosity. I wanted to know why some meals stick with you, why certain flavors feel like memories, and why the simplest dishes often cause the loudest reactions at the table.

That’s where Bite & Boom comes from.

I love food that’s bold but not complicated. Food that makes you pause mid-bite. Food that surprises you without trying too hard. Some days that looks like a buttery skillet meal that comes together in twenty minutes. Other days it’s a slow weekend recipe that fills the house with noise, heat, and anticipation.

Austin keeps me inspired. Farmers markets, food trucks, backyard grills, and friends who always show up hungry. I test recipes in a kitchen that’s usually playing music too loud, with something simmering that I probably started without a plan. Most of the time, it works out. When it doesn’t, I learn and try again.

You’ll find a mix of comfort food, modern classics, and recipes that feel familiar but just a little louder. I’m especially drawn to American comfort, global flavors that pack punch, and meals that feel meant to be shared, even if you’re eating them alone on the couch.

Bite & Boom isn’t about perfection. It’s about flavor, feeling, and those moments when a bite genuinely surprises you.

If you’re here to cook something satisfying, discover a new favorite, or just hang out in a space that celebrates food with personality, you’re in the right place.

Pull up a chair.
Let’s make something that actually tastes like something.
