Ingredients

  • 4 slices frozen pizza slices preferably pepperoni or cheese
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying
  • to taste salt and pepper optional seasoning

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place frozen pizza slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are crispy and cheese is bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Using a sharp knife and cutting board, cut each pizza slice into 4 or 6 bite-sized squares. This creates manageable, uniform pieces for further cooking.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pizza bite pieces to the pan in an even layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Flip the pizza bites using a spatula and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the second side is also crispy and cheese is slightly melted. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  5. Remove the crispy pizza burger bites from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot, optionally with dipping sauces such as pesto or salsa for added flavor.
