Method
 

  1. Place dried herbs, cinnamon sticks, and orange slices into a small saucepan.
  2. Pour water over the herbs and spices, ensuring they are fully submerged and floating freely.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, listening for a soft bubbling sound and noticing the water starting to steam.
  4. Reduce the heat to low once simmering begins, keeping the mixture at a gentle simmer to release the oils slowly.
  5. Occasionally check the water level, adding more if it reduces too much. Keep the heat low to prevent scorching or burning the herbs.
  6. As the herbs and spices mingle, notice the kitchen filling with a warm, woody aroma reminiscent of autumn forests and cozy mornings, with the mixture gently bubbling and steaming.

Notes

Keep water topped up during simmering. Use sparingly with cinnamon to avoid overpowering scent. For a longer-lasting aroma, occasional re-simmer with fresh herbs and spices.
