Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice about 2 lemons
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs such as parsley, thyme, or rosemary
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Grill or grill pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Tongs
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Sharp Knife

Method

  1. Gather all marinade ingredients and whisk together in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat until hot, with clear grill marks appearing after about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off excess, and place on the hot grill. Cook for approximately 6-8 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through with internal temperature reaching 165°F (75°C) and visible char marks.
  5. Use tongs to flip the chicken and cook the second side until evenly charred and juices run clear.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a serving platter and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
