Using clean hands or a small scoop, shape the mixture into compact, oval or round bite-sized portions and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly crusted. Watch for a crispy exterior with a melty, cheesy interior.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet. Serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh herbs or dipping sauces.
